A Gentleman's Bet

This project started with a great photo spread I found in a magazine, which I found at the dump. I have no memory as to what the actual editorial was about, but I loved the photos, with the wonderful and well costumed characters. I rearranged all the models to introduce a sort of narrative to the final painting, with everyone wondering the same thing the viewer is probably wondering. I wanted to work in a 20th century style for this, something like Mead Schaeffer or Norman Rockwell, loose and realistic at the same time. When I get a chance I'll add a better photo...
